The Storms Empty The Storms

i feel the trimmers feel the earth shake the ground is far from steady
sawying trees i can hear the crackling of the limbs i see the leaves
fall to the ground some swirl in the air i hear the wind pick up
i see the terror in everyone face the tree roots pop and crack
the power lines swing in mid air tis the season of the storms
i see the houses break apart the windows crack
all there is to do is to hang on and pray
the sun will soon rise brand new day brand new hope brand new you
